"A house is often a portrait of the people who live in it. In many Indian families, the woman of the house spends much of her time looking after others; planning meals, watching over everyone's health, and keeping the household steady. What she rarely has is the chance to sit with her family and share the time she helps create for them."
This 3400 square foot residential project, completed in 2025, addresses the dynamics of Indian family life where women often dedicate themselves to household management and caregiving without enjoying the communal moments they facilitate. The design emerged from understanding that the homeowner rarely sits with her family to share the time and experiences she creates through her daily efforts. Led by architects Krishna Mistry and Anand Jariwala, the project uses furnishings from premium brands including Artemide, Cassina ixc., Living Divani, and SOTA to create spaces that encourage family togetherness and allow the homeowner to participate in shared domestic life.
