The Blue Water Catcher project, conceived by Canalside Studio in partnership with A Drop of Life, showcases an innovative approach to environmental education through art. Situated in Kuk Po, a historic Hakka village, this installation features five visually striking structures that resemble water droplets. These structures are designed to collect rainwater and fog while referencing traditional irrigation systems once used by the villagers. Utilizing sustainable materials like bamboo and rattan, the project emphasizes eco-consciousness and aims to foster awareness about water harvesting and environmental issues in a rural setting.
