Euston Station recently closed for a three-day period to enable essential track upgrades on the West Coast Main Line, during which substantial renovations to the station's toilet facilities were carried out. The refurbishment encompassed improvements to male, female, and accessible toilets, including new fixtures and enhanced accessibility. Additionally, signage was upgraded to improve navigation through the station. As more upgrades are scheduled over the upcoming early May bank holiday, Euston Station will again close, impacting service availability for passengers.
During the closure, Network Rail's contractors replaced the switches and crossings at Kensal Green and strengthened the embankment at Harlesden.
The track upgrades were carried out by the Central Rail Systems Alliance (CRSA) which is made up by Network Rail, Balfour Beatty, AtkinsRéalis and TSO.
Access to the toilets is also easier, as they're at the end of a crowded corridor, but a shop on the corner was recently removed to create more space.
More Bank Holiday Closures In just under two weeks, further upgrade work will take place during the early May bank holiday from Saturday May 3rd to Monday May 5th.
