Conch Station is located in Letao Bay, Wanning, Hainan, beside coconut groves and beaches along the sea shore. The project supports coastline landscape improvement for the Shenzhou Peninsula by enhancing public services and visitor experience. The site is shaped by the enormous scale of the surrounding nature. The design integrates the station’s spatial boundary with the surrounding landscape. Two curved walls rise gently from the site, creating a soft transition to the environment. Functional spaces recede between the white walls and the roof, forming sheltered areas within the landscape setting.
