"The clients had bought a plot, not far at all from their hometown, but in a surprisingly secluded setting best described as otherworldly. The idea was for a 'getaway' house a private place to go to for a weekend or so to swiftly get away from stress, work, city."
Clients purchased a plot in a secluded, otherworldly setting near their hometown to create a private getaway residence. The project, designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects with Ake E-son Lindman, serves as a weekend retreat intended to provide escape from stress and work pressures of city life. HJ Bygg served as general contractor, with structural engineering by Stiba and Joakim Osterlund. The design responds to the unique character of the isolated location while fulfilling the clients' need for a peaceful sanctuary away from their daily urban environment.
