A cottage dining room in Omaha received a color-focused makeover that replaced gray and white builder-grade finishes. Bright green beadboard was installed and painted throughout, with a matching dining bench. The beadboard uses Sherwin-Williams Reseda Green to add depth, character, and charm. Folk-print Fasnacht Absinth wallpaper covers the upper walls and introduces red accent pops. Two existing doors were removed and replaced with a sliding glass door to open the space. Contractors completed the renovation as part of a $50,000 overall renovation. Red bentwood chairs tie into the wallpaper's red-orange highlights.
"I really love how it turned out," she says. "It's such a simple addition that makes such a huge difference in terms of the depth and character of a space. It really makes it feel so much more charming, I think."
"Our contractor installed and painted the beadboard throughout the cottage," Brandi says (as the entire place went through a $50,000 renovation after Brandi bought it.)
"She's a bit of a wallpaper whiz and volunteered to do it," Brandi says.
