Little Ilford Park is set to receive a £1.2 million transformation, enhancing its children's play area, outdoor gym equipment, and walking routes. A new cafe will also be constructed for residents to enjoy in the coming summer. The project is funded through the Government's Levelling Up scheme, reflecting local commitment to providing facilities that promote a cleaner, greener, and healthier borough. The younger children's play equipment will be temporarily closed for six weeks during renovations, with updates to the older children's play area expected by mid-March.
Councillor Sarah Ruiz emphasized that "this is a fantastic new facility for our children and the residents of Little Ilford," fostering play, socialization, and fitness in the community.
The park will receive a 1.2 million makeover to revamp its children's play area, outdoor gym equipment, and walking routes, along with the addition of a new cafe.
