The article details how Sonja Beaz and her family transformed their outdoor spaces into extensions of their indoor living areas. The project, which took years to convince her husband, resulted in a comfortable and sustainable dining and work area created using thrifted items and greenery. The efforts have not only provided additional living areas but also a beautiful backdrop for various family activities, emphasizing the importance of creating functional outdoor spaces that promote indoor-outdoor living.
Our outdoor living spaces provide basically an extra dining room and two extra living rooms for us, born out of a need for more space for everyone.
It took four years, four months, and 18 days of convincing my husband it would be easy to build, and two weeks to actually complete the setup.
It's colorful, comfortable, simple, sustainable, and economical â almost every piece of furniture is thrifted, given to us, or curbside.
The plants make the space feel like my very own botanical oasis, perfect for everything from morning coffee to dinner alfresco.
