This Brilliant Storage System Transformed My 130-Year-Old Home (It Had No Closet Space!)
Briefly

Victorian homes often lack sufficient storage, as seen in the author's own 1895 row home with its inadequate closet facilities. Faced with this challenge, the author creatively utilized a nook in the bedroom to establish a makeshift closet using a clothing rack and drapery, which temporarily addressed their storage needs. After a year and a half, the author upgraded to a more permanent solution with an Elfa closet system from The Container Store, complemented by contractor-built walls and doors, resulting in a seamless integration that enhances both function and aesthetic appeal.
The Elfa system installation transformed my awkward nook into a sleek, functional closet, blending seamlessly with my Victorian home's aesthetic and fulfilling my storage needs.
The DIY closet hack worked initially, utilizing a clothing rack concealed by drapery, but I knew it was a temporary solution until I could invest in a proper closet.
