She Painted Her Rental Kitchen Green - Now the Whole Apartment Is Calm and Collected
"This is the first space the couple have shared together, and Daniela says her creativity really took off when it came to the task of adding their personality to the home. "Drawing pieces and inspiration from my favorite designers and brands (Amber Lewis, Loloi, Indaba Home, Zara Home, and many more), I created a space that felt like myself and my partner," she explains."
""I wanted zen to be embodied in the space, as well as a sense of home and comfort," she continues. "To really bring that to life, I contacted Canadian and American artists for handmade paintings made for our apartment. Vision boards were created, days were spent painting cabinets, walls, tearing down parts of the apartment to make it more open. Once it was finally done, it felt like home.""
Daniela Cioffi and her partner transformed an 800-square-foot Montreal rental with a dull gray-and-white palette into a personalized, zen-inspired home. The renovation included painting cabinets and walls, removing partitions to open the layout, and commissioning handmade paintings from Canadian and American artists. The final aesthetic blends soft neutrals, natural textures, vintage touches, and modern pieces to create a cozy, grandmother-modern atmosphere. Furnishings and decor came from Amber Interiors, Loloi, Indaba Home, Zara Home, EQ3, Four Hands, Bouclair, and thrifting. The bathroom, kitchen, and textile selections were updated to produce a warm, timeless, and lived-in space.
