"'Plot 33' is an honest study about how to achieve a balance between inside-outside, work-life, privacy-openness, reused-new materials, adaptability-single use, etc. This project is also an attempt to amalgamate the aspirations of an Architect duo coming from diverse backgrounds - South Asia (India) and Southern Europe (Spain) - in the rapidly growing city of Rajkot, India. The site is located in a tight urban residential neighborhood adjacent to the region's university campus."

Plot 33 achieves balance between inside and outside, work and life, privacy and openness, reused and new materials, and adaptability and single-use. An Architect duo from South Asia (India) and Southern Europe (Spain) amalgamates diverse design aspirations within a rapidly growing urban context in Rajkot, India. The site occupies a 10 x 24 meters parcel in a tight residential neighborhood adjacent to the regional university campus. The plot’s northern short side faces the road leading to the university. Across that road, a small public park with large sheltering trees provides visual and ecological amenity, informing compact design responses.
