"The pair are keeping McGlynn's as a pub (no doubt several developers had designs on turning the site into flats) and have begun renovation works. The planning application stating "by reinstating original elements where possible and carefully managing modern interventions, the works will preserve the building's special architectural and historic interest while ensuring it can continue to function as a viable public house.""

"The pub went on the market for over £3million at the start of this year (we sent the listing round to a few mates when it went up) and the three-storey property, including an open plan bar, nine former letting bedrooms, a two-bedroom manager's flat, and a large cellar 'with potential for a commercial kitchen', was purchased in April."

McGlynn's in King's Cross closed after landlord Gerry Dolan died in August 2023. The property sold for £3.15 million in April.
