The workshop convenes in-person at Lanzhou University and virtually to examine conceptions of friendship within Chinese philosophical traditions. The program emphasizes three dimensions: theoretical accounts, pressing issues and debates, and comparative contemporary perspectives linking Chinese insights to global discussions. Sessions will be conducted in English and allow both on-site and Zoom participation. A keynote lecture titled "Friendship as a Philosophical Problem for Confucianism: Two Case Studies" is included.
