You know what nobody has ever said? I wish that event went on a bit longer!' | Adrian Chiles
Briefly

Most events often feel too long, as evidenced by my experiences at things like church services and concerts where I'd wish they had been shorter.
The Olympics, with its countless contests packed into two weeks, left me wanting more, whereas the opening and closing ceremonies dragged on unnecessarily.
It's rare for an audience to leave an event wishing it had taken longer; instead, shorter formats might leave people more satisfied.
Even popular acts like Meat Loaf, whose performances I once touted as amazing, left me desperate for the encore to end when it dragged too long.
