Team USA and Team Japan figure skaters from the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics finally received their medals in Paris, two and a half years after they competed.
In January 2024, the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled that Kamila Valieva's scores should be eliminated, moving the U.S. to gold and Japan to silver in the team event.
