Under the Bridge Recap: Marriage Story
Briefly

In her book, Rebecca Godfrey chose to omit Reena's false accusation against her father, but the series chooses to spend an entire episode unfolding this secret by way of intergenerational flashbacks and a doomed dinner party that the Virks throw for the Seven Oaks crew.
Under the Bridge is mostly based on Godfrey's original book, but the show also optioned Manjit Virk's memoir, Reena: A Father's Story, for inclusion in the series, with the two stories running in parallel through quick cuts for dramatic effect.
The narrative is structured around revealing the tragic history of the Virk family, intertwining Reena's family's assimilation into Canadian society with the preparation for a hostile dinner party, making the big reveal even more poignant.
The episode features Reena narrating from beyond the grave, confirming her killer, hinting at more mysteries, and interweaving scenes of her parents' love with her grandparents' optimistic struggle in a new country.
