Trevor Noah, reflecting on the reception of his children's book 'Into the Uncut Grass', stated, "I think people will be surprised to see that 'Into the Uncut Grass' is kind of a picture book. It’s an idea I have always romanticised because the picture books I grew up with, like Where the Wild Things Are, were some of my favourite fables and stories."
Discussing the challenges of writing a picture book, Noah expressed, "Children's picture books don't allow you to spend 400 pages getting into intricate details. I guess what surprised me was how hard it is to actually do, being so concise while containing feeling and emotion."
Noah also shared insights on mentorship, saying, "Jon Stewart was gracious enough to show me how much people didn't believe in him when he started. He was slammed by the critics."
