Transgender author Jennifer Finney Boylan: The fight is not over
Briefly

In her new book "Cleavage: Men, Women, and the Space Between Us," Jennifer Finney Boylan examines her experiences as a transgender woman, reflecting on her life before and after her transition. Released during turbulent times for the trans community, Boylan's book serves as a retrospective on societal treatment of gender differences. Delving into her relationships with her wife and their children, including her daughter Zai's journey as a trans woman, the memoir combines humor and heartfelt insights, seeking to shed light on the progress and challenges faced over the past two decades.
I'd like to say that I was trying to be prescient... but to be honest, I've been working on this book for at least five years.
It is a chance to look back over the last 20-25 years to see where we have been and where we have failed to go.
There's two things I wanted to write about... one is just the difference between men and women, as I've lived it, and after 25 years, there's a lot of stories to tell.
The difference, in my experience, in friends, in food, in love... the way I feel unsafe in this world in a way that I didn't use to feel unsafe.
