Seven years after Paris was confirmed as the host city, the 2024 Summer Olympics are about to begin with a grand opening ceremony that commemorates the 100th anniversary of the city last hosting the Games.
The ceremony will feature a parade of 160 boats sailing along the Seine River, with 94 of them carrying athletes, before culminating in a final show at the Trocadero, with the entire event expected to last nearly four hours.
