The artefacts include coal from the Titanic and a piece of rope from the Mary Rose, part of a collection of 8,000 historical shipwreck objects.
David Lay stated, "There are many wonderful, rare discoveries... I can't imagine there's a more important collection of maritime archaeology worldwide."
The auction features 1,254 lots, which include items from wrecks that are legally protected historic sites or designated war graves.
Coal from the Titanic is valued between 400 to 600, while the Mary Rose rope is estimated to fetch 5,000 to 10,000.
