Oldest Christian book sells for more than 3million at London auction
Briefly

The Crosby-Schyen Codex, written in Coptic script on papyrus in Egypt between 250 to 350AD, is the earliest book for Christian public worship and contains the earliest complete versions of 1 Peter and Jonah.
Christie's senior specialist, Eugenio Donadoni, highlighted the book's significance, stating that it was used by the earliest monks in Egypt for Easter celebrations, showcasing the spread of Christianity.
The book was previously owned by an American university and later acquired by Norwegian manuscript collector, Dr. Martin Schyen, who started collecting books in the 1950s and amassed a significant collection.
