Meet the 97-year-old Auschwitz survivor now living in Kingston
Briefly

Lizzy Dyszkiewicz reflects on her childhood in Boskovice, Czech Republic, before the Nazi regime uprooted her family during World War II. After enduring the atrocities of Theresienstadt and Auschwitz, where she tragically lost her sister and father, she survived against all odds. Her childhood memories of joy were abruptly shattered in March 1942. As we commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day, her experiences serve as a poignant reminder of the Holocaust's horrific realities and the importance of remembering those who were lost.
