Johanna Orth was a passionate young baker inspired by her grandmother, Marlies. After completing her training as a master patissiere, she planned to open a shop named after Marlies. In July 2021, a severe flood struck her hometown of Bad Neuenahr, causing her to call her parents for help as water invaded her home. Tragically, Johanna's body was found two days later, making her one of over 220 victims of the disaster across Europe.
