"It's amazing, really amazing. I'm just delighted that my wheel was in front at the finish," said Storey, reflecting on the narrow victory.
"The lap before a coach of hers shouted 'next lap on the left.' I had a look where we were to make sure I was ready for that," Storey explained about her strategy.
"Heidi took a little bit of a gap, which is fine that she'd made; I had a little bit of speed because I was trying to preempt it..." Storey described the intense finish.
With this gold medal, Storey adds to her incredible Paralympic legacy, having achieved her 19th gold and 30th medal over nine Games.
