On Christmas Eve, Ban fell while skiing in Aspen but initially felt fine. After persistent headaches, she was advised to seek medical attention. A CT scan revealed a brain bleed, leading to her being airlifted to a trauma hospital. Her husband discovered her unconscious weeks later in their Tribeca home, prompting an outpouring of grief from her son and followers.
"And in a blink of an eye ... life can change," Ban wrote on Instagram, reflecting on how her skiing accident dramatically altered her life.
"I had a ski accident that would change my life," she shared, indicating the serious consequences of what initially seemed like a minor incident.
