Berkeley's Kelsey Street Press celebrates 50 years of experimental, feminist poetry
Briefly

Nearly two decades ago, Emgee Dufresne discovered books that revolutionized how she thought about writing. She wanted to be like William Faulkner with a vagina.
Dufresne, on a mission to read only women poets, kept stumbling on Kelsey Street Press... it was kind of like, Oh! I can arrive again and again on a page.
Fifty years ago, Kelsey Street Press was founded to address the marginalization of women writers by small presses and mainstream publishers.
Now, as a member of Kelsey Street Press, Dufresne has joined the publishing nonprofit dedicated to bringing experimental writing into the world.
