Alain Delon, the French cinema icon who died at 88, expressed a wish to have his dog, Loubo, euthanized and buried with him, a wish his family refuses.
In a 2018 interview, Delon referred to Loubo as his 'end of life dog' and stated, 'If I die before him, I'll ask the vet to take us away together.'
Following outrage from animal welfare groups, Delon's family confirmed they would not fulfill his request, stating Loubo would remain within the family and not be euthanized.
Amid criticism, animal charities intervened, with the Society for the Protection of Animals offering to find a home for Loubo, showcasing the controversy surrounding Delon's wishes.
