A night of magic and mischief at SF Ballet's 92nd gala
Briefly

The SF Ballet's 92nd opening gala combined high fashion and art in a unique setting at San Francisco City Hall, despite a slightly subdued atmosphere. Ayesha Curry, as the honorary chair, highlighted the exceptional athleticism of the dancers, stating they are "top athletes". Guests enjoyed a vibrant mix of performances, designer looks, and canapés, indulging in the joyful ambiance. The night was filled with glamour and creativity, although some attendees faced tough choices between events, emphasizing the gala’s significance in local culture.
These dancers are top of the top of the top athletes. What they do with their bodies is unmatched.
The vibe felt a little subdued from last year, but that was obviously in part from local aficionados making Sophie's Choice on attending this party or the FOG Design + Art opening gala.
The SF Ballet's opening night gala, my favorite annual mashup of high society meets art, celebrity sightings and stunning frocks.
I know it's faux pas to objectify people, but I found a muscled Harrison James very distracting in a pas de deux from Christopher Wheeldon's 'After the Rain.'
