Turkish Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Pilot Dies
Briefly

A Turkish Airlines flight from Seattle to Istanbul made an emergency landing at Kennedy International Airport after the pilot lost consciousness and died mid-flight.
The pilot, Ilcehin Pehlivan, 59, died before landing, despite regular health examinations that showed no problems up to March of this year.
After about eight hours in the air, the airline decided to land at JFK following unsuccessful attempts to revive the pilot during the flight.
The FAA confirmed that one of the pilots experienced a medical emergency, and arrangements are being made to transport passengers to their destination.
