The two-state solution is a delusion | Rabea Eghbariah
Briefly

Next week's UN conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine is expected to reiterate the two-state solution framework. However, many observers criticize this approach as increasingly detached from the realities on the ground, particularly considering Israel's ongoing expansion of settlements and violence in Gaza. While France and Saudi Arabia co-chair the conference, reports suggest France might retract its support for recognizing a Palestinian state. The revival of the two-state language may serve as a distraction rather than a real pathway to peace, especially as Palestinians face severe humanitarian crises.
The two-state solution has become little more than a diplomatic theater, an incantation repeated with no intention, reflecting a growing disconnection from reality over Palestine.
As Palestinians are undergoing a genocide in Gaza... the revival of the two-state language reads like a smokescreen, as no meaningful aid or action is forthcoming.
