IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari stated that a preemptive strike was launched on Hezbollah after identifying preparations for missile attacks against Israeli territory. This act was to remove immediate threats.
"In a self-defense act to remove these threats, the IDF is striking terror targets in Lebanon, from which Hezbollah was planning to launch their attacks on Israeli civilians," said Hagari.
As a result of the escalating security situation, flights from Tel Aviv were delayed and diverted to alternative airports, reflecting the growing instability in the region.
