First of all, I think they're not irreconcilable differences between the two powers, but more the problem stems from a lack of effective communication, misunderstanding and, most importantly, a lack of trust that has grown.
China will not tolerate chaos and instability in the region, and we underestimate how important peace is for the Chinese people.
