Max Verstappen won the Las Vegas Grand Prix after overtaking pole-sitter Lando Norris into Turn 1 on the opening lap. Verstappen secured the extra point for fastest lap and finished more than 20 seconds ahead of Norris in second. George Russell, last year's race winner, finished third to deliver a strong result for Mercedes, while Oscar Piastri finished fourth behind Russell. Verstappen described the race as "a little bit lonely" on the radio as he crossed the finish line. The victory cut the points gap in the F1 title race.
