Juan Pablo Guanipa was released from prison on Sunday after being held in Caracas since his arrest in May 2025. A close ally of Maria Corina Machado, he was accused by Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello of leading a terrorist plot to sabotage the May legislative election, and his arrest was captured on video. In a video posted on X, Guanipa said, "Today, we are being released" and called for discussion about Venezuela's present and future.
