Usman Khawaja will retire from all international cricket after the fifth Ashes Test at the SCG. He turned 39 last month and Australia hold a 3-1 lead in the series heading into the final Test. Khawaja thanked cricket for memories, friendships and life lessons and acknowledged support from many people including his parents. Bowing out at the SCG is fitting because he made his Test debut there in the 2010-11 Ashes and it is close to his home.
