"Reporting from Gaza City, Al Jazeera's Hani Mahmoud said the sounds of Israeli gunfire and shelling coming from the eastern part of the Gaza Strip were almost non-stop on Sunday. Medical sources at al-Shifa Hospital in the city said at least one person had been killed and 15 wounded throughout the day, Mahmoud added. Further north, local sources in Jabalia refugee camp reported a drone attack on a medical facility that is located next to the so-called yellow line that separates Israeli- and Palestinian-controlled zones."

Paramedics and Palestinian Civil Defence crews were unable to safely reach affected zones. U.S. envoys held talks with Israeli leadership to plan Phase 2 of a 20-Point Gaza plan and discussed broader regional tensions, including concerns about Iran.
