The U.S. is destroying Iran's navy after it tried to shut down global oil flows

"I have just been informed that we have destroyed and sunk 9 Iranian Naval Ships, some of them relatively large and important. We are going after the rest. They will soon be floating at the bottom of the sea, also! In a different attack, we largely destroyed their Naval Headquarters."

"On Sunday, U.S. Central Command said in a statement it sank an Iranian 'Jamaran-class' corvette at a Chabahar pier in southern Iran during Operation Epic Fury. 'As the President said, members of Iran's armed forces, IRGC and police must lay down your weapons. Abandon ship,' CENTCOM said in its statement."

"On Saturday, Iranian naval ships broadcast messages on an emergency radio channel warning commercial ships the Strait of Hormuz was closed. Over the past 24 hours, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed responsibility for attacks on commercial ships and tankers."

The U.S. military conducted Operation Epic Fury, destroying nine Iranian naval ships and significantly damaging Iran's Naval Headquarters. U.S. Central Command sank an Iranian Jamaran-class corvette at Chabahar pier in southern Iran. Iranian naval forces had broadcast warnings closing the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping and claimed responsibility for attacks on commercial vessels and tankers. Commercial shipping in the strait experienced disruption with many vessels anchoring at sea, though some continued transit. U.S. defense officials confirmed the military operations while calling on Iranian armed forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to abandon their weapons.
