Authorities on both sides sent the rescue boats after a Chinese fishing vessel capsized in the early hours, the Taiwan Coast Guard said in a statement.
Coast guard chief Chou Mei-wu mentioned that Taiwan-China cooperation in the area is crucial due to the narrow waters between Kinmen-Xiamen and frequent rescue collaboration.
