"A Dutch-flagged cargo ship has been set ablaze after it was struck in a missile attack in the Gulf of Aden on Monday, officials said. The attack is suspected to be carried out by Yemen-based Houthi rebels. Two people on board the Minervagracht were injured while its crew was forced to abandon the vessel, which has been left adrift. The Gulf of Aden is near the Red Sea, where Iran-backed Houthis sank two vessels in July."
"While the Houthis have yet to claim responsibility for the attack, they have targeted ships as part of their campaign against Israel's offensive in Gaza, which the rebels say is in solidarity with the Palestinian people. The French military has identified Houthis as the culprits of the attack. The Minervagracht had been targeted by the rebel group in a previous unsuccessful strike."
Leaders from Arab and Muslim nations and Europe welcomed a peace plan unveiled by Trump and Netanyahu, who warned Hamas to accept the deal or Israel would 'finish the job' in Gaza. Gaza's Health Ministry reports over 66,000 people killed in less than two years. The Palestinian Authority welcomed Trump's "sincere and determined efforts." Several states including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey and Qatar reacted to the plan. Separately, a Dutch-flagged cargo ship, the Minervagracht, was struck by a missile in the Gulf of Aden, two crew were injured and the vessel was abandoned; the attack is suspected to involve Yemen-based Houthi rebels.
