Artillery fire hit the eastern part of Deir el-Balah and the Tuffah area of Gaza City. Search and recovery efforts for many missing Gaza residents are scheduled to begin in Maghazi camp in the centre of the enclave. Recovery operations will involve the Red Cross, the Egyptian Committee and the local police force. Civil defence entities will be engaged in locating the missing bodies.
