"The plan has been widely condemned by human rights advocates, who say it is an an attempt to erase Palestinians by building a capitalist dystopia on the ruins of Israel's genocide. At the signing ceremony for President Donald Trump's "Board of Peace," Kushner shared a set of slides depicting a colonialist fantasy of the Gaza Strip under a hypothetical "demilitarization" of Hamas - despite the group's repeated refusal to disarm, saying it would leave them defenseless against further attacks by Israel or otherwise."
Jared Kushner presented a plan to rebuild Gaza as a zone of coastal tourism, luxury resorts, industry, and data centers. Slides and a labeled "Master Plan" blueprint depicted the entire coast dedicated to "coastal tourism" with a seaport and an airport, and large inland swaths set for parks, agriculture, sports facilities, residential blocks, industry, and data centers. Human rights advocates condemned the proposal as neocolonial and accused it of attempting to erase Palestinians after mass destruction. The plan is framed around a hypothetical demilitarization of Hamas, while critics note Hamas has repeatedly refused to disarm.
