Nora was kidnapped in Syria while trying to reach an aid center. She was taken by masked men, held captive for about a month, and subjected to severe physical and psychological abuse. Her captors demanded a marriage contract, which she refused. During her captivity, her baby was taken, and ransom demands were sent to her family. Following their payment, she was released and now lives outside Syria, suffering from serious health issues as a result of her ordeal. Similar kidnappings of Alawite women have been reported, with families facing ransom demands for their loved ones.
Nora was held in a basement for around a month, where she was physically and psychologically brutalized. She was dragged into a car filled with masked men after being stopped.
Every day I was abused and beaten, so much so that I lost consciousness. While imprisoned, her baby was taken away from her and she was treated with even more brutality.
