Hundreds of Palestinians have been arrested over the past two years, including relatives and medical staff taken from hospitals. Gazan residents experienced cautious relief, audible warplanes that no longer felt immediately threatening, and immediate needs for gas, flour and sugar. People stocked supplies and expressed fears that the truce might collapse and that suffering could resume.
