"Once again, southern Lebanon is under fire from a blatant Israeli aggression against civilian facilities, without any justification or pretext."
"A Syrian national was killed and seven others were wounded when a passing vegetable truck was caught in the attack, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said."
"Israel's military said the strike targeted equipment intended to rebuild infrastructure for Hezbollah."
"United Nations human rights chief, Volker Turk, said at the start of October that Israeli strikes had killed 103 verified civilians in Lebanon since the ceasefire took effect."
Israeli air strikes hit the southern Lebanese village of Msayleh, killing one Syrian national and wounding seven others after a passing vegetable truck was struck. The strikes destroyed numerous vehicles and severely damaged a site selling heavy machinery, temporarily severing a major route linking Beirut to southern Lebanon. Drones were reported over Beirut and southern suburbs. Lebanon's president condemned the attack as an assault on civilian infrastructure and labeled it blatant aggression. Israel said the target was equipment for rebuilding infrastructure for Hezbollah to prevent restoration of military capabilities. The UN reported 103 verified civilian deaths in Lebanon since the ceasefire.
