Eight people were killed and about 20 were injured. The blast ignited fires that engulfed cars, motorcycles and rickshaws and shattered windows of a gurdwara 500 metres away. Bodies were dismembered and limbs were scattered on nearby roads, and people were seen burning. CCTV footage shows a Hyundai parked from about 3pm for three hours with a masked driver remaining inside. Two people linked to the car were detained and forensic and federal investigators probed the scene under anti-terror and explosives laws.
