Many of these videos are AI-generated, fabricated, or taken completely out of context, creating widespread misinformation. Fact-checkers have identified false claims circulating across social media, including misidentified footage and misleading narratives. One example involves a video of a destroyed building in Minab, Iran, which was falsely claimed to show a school attack in Peshawar, Pakistan from 2014. In reality, the footage authentically depicts a girls' school in Minab that was struck during US and Israeli missile operations on February 28. Iranian officials attributed the strike to Israel and the US, though Israel denied responsibility. Casualty figures reported by Iranian state media and UN sources cannot be independently verified.
