Charles Leclerc finished second after defending from Max Verstappen, who recovered from fifth. Lewis Hamilton received a 10-second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage, served during a pit stop that dropped him to 14th. Nico Hulkenberg retired with a power-unit problem.
