A 60-year-old British man from London was arrested in Dubai while on holiday after allegedly filming missiles during escalating US-Iran conflict. According to Detained in Dubai, a human rights campaign group, the man deleted the video immediately upon request and intended no harm. He faces charges under UAE cybercrime laws for allegedly broadcasting false news or provocative propaganda that could incite public opinion or disturb public security. If convicted, he could receive several years in prison or substantial fines. The man is among 21 people of various nationalities arrested under similar UAE cybercrime provisions and is currently detained at Bur Dubai police station.
