Women hold almost 45% of seats on FTSE 100 boards, report says
Briefly

The latest FTSE Women Leaders Review reveals that women hold 43.4% of board seats in the FTSE 350 companies, an increase from 42.1% in 2023, making the UK second in female board representation after France. Despite this progress, the number of female chief executives in the FTSE 350 has seen a slight drop to 19. This report, backed by Lloyds Banking Group and KPMG, emphasizes the ongoing need for more female representation in top roles to transform corporate environments.
The report shows that while the momentum is with us, we have so much further to go, said Poppy Gustafsson, highlighting the ongoing need for improved female representation.
The UK ranks in second place internationally for women in the boardroom, with a target of 40% female representation, which is still voluntary compared to other countries.
