This formation marks a significant milestone, as it represents the first all-female crew since 1963. Joining them are two scientists, Aisha Bowe and Amanda Nguyen, alongside other notable personalities like Lauren Sánchez and Kerianne Flynn. The mission is meant to last 10-12 minutes onboard the New Shepard rocket, with opportunities for the public to reserve their own spot for a fee of $150,000.

Blue Origin says this marks the first all-female space crew since Soviet astronaut Valentina Tereshkova's 1963 solo mission, which made her the first woman ever to go to space.
